The 19th Annual Early Childhood Education Entrepreneurship Expo, presented by the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) provides early childhood education entrepreneurs with the resources and training they need to start or grow their business.

Themed "Moving Your Business Forward," the Expo is presented in Spanish and English and is the only event of its kind in the Chicago area that offers state-of-the-art and industry-specific business guidance and resources to prospective and established early childhood education entrepreneurs.

Attendees will participate in workshops and panels on topics ranging from startup basics to marketing, financing and business operations. Keynote speaker, Sandra Guthman, Board Chair of the Polk Bros. Foundation, will discuss how access to quality early childhood education helps Chicago children reach their full potential.

During the awards breakfast, the WBDC will honor outstanding childcare providers and activists in the childcare community. Award winners at this year's event represent diverse members of the community that are making a positive impact in under-served communities, including:

• Farhana Majid, Montessori Magpie, West Town and Ukrainian Village

• Annette Delgado, Annette's Day Care, Logan Square

• Lila Jimenez, YWCA Lake County

• Rachel Wallace, Carole Robertson Center for Learning, West and Central Chicago and Western Suburbs
