Attend a Speakeasy for Justice 

On Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Third Unitarian Church, 301 N. Mayfield Ave., the Austin Arts Council, RMR, TUC and CANA will host a Speakeasy for Justice featuring free spoken word workshops (hip hop/rap, poetry, storytelling, etc.). Free breakfast and lunch. Win prizes and bragging rights. Bring your crew and take home a prize. The final performance is May 3 at 7 p.m.

Celebrate West Side women

On Saturday, April 13, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Columbus Park Refectory, 5701 W. Jackson, DW Provision Consulting will present West Side Women of Wisdom and Inspiration's 2nd Annual Appreciation Dinner. Theme: Cultivating Resilience with Grace. Hosted by Deborah Williams. Portions of proceeds to go to Claudia Colon Awareness, Because I Care, Inc., Austin Youth Travel Adventures and Project Exploration STEM Progress.
