The West Garfield Park Community Stakeholders is a consortium of residents, agencies, churches, elected officials, law enforcement, and businesses whose mission is to work together to improve the quality of life on the West Side. They are actively establishing and strengthening collaboration among communities, public and private non-profit agencies, federal, state, local and tribal governments to support the efforts of community coalitions like Fathers Who Care and the West Garfield Park Youth Council, who are also working to prevent and reduce substance use among youth and adults.
Free Community Empowerment and Unification meetings are scheduled for the 2nd Monday of each month, at 6:00 p.m. at 4540 West Washington, Blvd. in Chicago. All those interested in helping improve the West Side are encouraged to attend!
